Default Another day, another gator. Or two

After nearly 2 weeks of not being able to fish I finally got a couple days off to go back searching for my momma trouts!

Yesterday (friday) my roommate and I launched around 4pm and within 15 minutes I had my first gator in the net! My first cast with a brand new lure, Unfair Lures- Greenie, brought in a solid 27" speck which also happened to be my first fish in my new Native Slayer Propel 13! The rest of the day was pretty slow until we were about to leave and my roommate hooked up on another monster trout but unfortunately he pulled the hooks.

This morning we woke up with plenty of motivation and were ready to go! The day started off really slow with a small trout and a good slot redfish but thats not what we were looking for! Once the cloud cover thickened I started getting anxious and finally managed to hook up with another big trout. This one was just over 26". I'll take quality over quantity any day. What a great weekend, maybe I'll do it again tomorrow!

Great pictures Keith, those are some very nice trout. Really fat fish for sure. It was good fishing with you for a little while this afternoon, even though the bite had just died. Thanks for the report.
