I didn't know I had a beach where's Henderson's beach at.

If I had a kayak I'd love to give it a try.

It's all great fun! Invest in a little 90 dollar yak on Craigslist and cmon! Henderson is in destin. It's a state park with light crowds and great yak access to the beach. Tons of public reefs within first few miles of shore

If Destin wasn't an hour and a half away I'd be down

I'll be fishing off the beach at Henderson for pompano tomorrow am, but have kayak and will be up for some trips in the near future after the pompano run is done in a couple weeks.

went out... That's about all.. Loaded up on love cigs first thing and high tailed it out to reef. There was TONS of life on the bottom just couldn't get others to cooperate.. Kayak fishing is a rigerous sport no doubt about it. Experienced about the 10th person to fold under the pressure of a paddle and pole today and between keeping on top of the structure making sure they stayed tied on and keeping bait coming I dropped a line maybe a total of 6 times today. Extremely frustrated in the time and effort put forward to be "safe" with an extra set of eyes. I may just invest in an emergency location device and a bumper sticker that reads "you aren't man enough to fish with me"... Anyways, glad to get that out it was bothersome.. Hope others had better luck than I!

If I was you I'd launch at the Crystal Beach public beach accesses. That time of morning parking is not an issue, its free, and you can get there at dark if you want. The furthest west access is only a hop skip and a jump from Henderson, and frankly I'd fish as far east from a kayak as I could to minimize boat traffic.

If I can every get a weekend morning off from family or work I'll go with you.
