Default 4 specs 1 red 02/06

I finally tried a little canal by my house, just haven't gotten around to it. I'll tell you what, I was living in paradise and didn't even know it!

here's the spot I hit em in. I only fished for about an hour and caught probably 15 fish, kept 4 specs 1 red. most of the reds were rats, I caught one that was 19.

Schweet, I'll be 'round tomorrow at about 3 or 4P. HA! Just kidding or maybe not?!?!? Nice find though. McElligots Bayou is right behind my house but every one keeps telling me I have the name wrong and it supposedly Bayou Garcon.

My grandparents live on that street. I've fished that canal for 25 years and have always done well. I got my first big bass out of there and many reds and specks over the years. There are some big stripers in there too. Thats my little go to fishing spot for afternoon fishing after work. Just to let people know there is no public access on that street. nearest place to put in is at the little bridge on lillian.

That's why I didn't mind posting it It actually adds up to paddling a mile to get to that spot from the bridge. Most people don't do that inshore . If you ever want to fish that place together let me know man. I haven't really ventured deeper into it yet. (it's not really that deep though, lol)

I guess I'm not most people then! I've paddled 4 mile round trip from the HWY 90 bridge to gulf power quite a few times.

Its off of Perdido Bay. If you put in at the FL side of the HWY 98 bridge you'd be around the corner from it.

I'm headed out there right now, armed with various jerk shads and a catch 2000.
