Default 4/12/16 - Slam

I launched around 1700 and quickly found the Trout. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to land anything over 17" this trip. After catching several slot Trout, I decided to move on and do a little exploring.

I was throwing soft plastics over a small drop off and eventually got crushed. It turned out to be a Flounder.

After landing and releasing the Flounder, I decided to head back to the ramp. After a short pedal I saw a school of Mullet spook. I threw out the Spook Jr several times with nothing to show for it. I picked up a soft plastic and on the first cast I caught a solid Trout. I quickly released the fish and threw into the school.

Bump, bump, bump, (Mullet) and BAM! Fish on...

The 13 Fishing Omen rod pairs great with the Concept A. The reel and rod are phenomenal.

Plenty of fish to be caught!

It's been mentioned before but Damn your expression screams torture lol

Good catches. That dark outside eh? Do you change your color preferences at night? Or just throw the colors you never use?

That's a smile!

For me, color preferences change on a variety of things. In the last week I have caught Trout and Redfish, on soft plastics with no lights around.

I happened to be using Tiger Bait, I will switch colors my next night trip. But I don't think it's so much color as it is vibration. I will let you know how it works out.

Nice slam. And I would have kept that flounder for the dinner table if I was lucky enough to catch a slam.

Thanks for sharing.

You must have lost a bet to have to shave that beard off Nick! Lol

Great job on the slam buddy.. It's always a good day when that happens.
