I took a day off work and fished 3 Mile Bridge with Madduch. We had planned on hitting Three Barges, but the 20 knot north wind changed our minds quick. We mainly used live shrimp on carolina rigs, but I caught my personal-best redfish, 27", jigging a Gotcha lure over a baitball I saw on my ff. We both caught several sail cats (pain, but fun). Maduch brought home a couple nice spanish. Done by 9:30 am. All in all, great morning.

Keep hitting 3mb and 27" will seem small to you. I haven't caught a legal red in I don't know how long. In the winter months they averaged 35". Now its more like 29"

Exactly where was that picture taken? Maybe next week, I've been thinking about doing the 3MB.

Way to go, Eric! It's about time I dusted off my 'yak. Been doing some fishing, but it's all been in the power boats. Let's plan a trip soon.

The boat ramp/ parking lot on the Gulf Breeze side of the Three Mile Bridge, west side. If you're driving southeast from P'Cola to Gulf Breeze, it's on your right just past the bridge. Nice spot. Easy launch. That was my first time there, but I've read all kinds of great reports of bull reds and trout caught there.

Tinman- sounds good! I'll give you call and we can figure out a time.

Thanks for the information. How much does it cost to launch there?
For some reason, I have $20 in my head for that landing/ramp.
