Default 3mb 3/19

Got out to 3mb just before the sun went down and the water was still a little choppy but once the sun went down it was nice and smooth. Ended up staying until 11 or so and I caught to bull reds on frozen peeled shrimp on a weightless hook. The first one was the biggest right around 40" and was a blast on my ml rod with 10lb line. The second was right at 36" and was hooked too deep to get the hook so I cut the line and returned him as quickly as possible.

Here is the first one, who also ended up breaking my hook off at the barb and not sure how he stayed on with so little of the hook left.

Good catch. Be careful with hooks breaking off. I had one break at the shank and the shank went into my finger right at the joint. My finger swoll up and could not move for a week.

Congrats on the fish!

It was nice out last night. The fish weren't as fired up as I'd hoped. Only saw two up top, but they both slurped my fly.

Not sure how the rest of the pack did. Saw a few others hooked up.

Nice work! I went 4 for 6 last night. Caught 2 on freelined blue crabs and lost one yakside on freelined blue crab. Caught one on bottom on a gulp shrimp. Caught one and lost one on white trout on bottom.
