Default 3 mile

Finally got the yak in the water after a long summer. Took a buddy out who had never kayaked before. He managed a red and a nice run that ended in a bite off. I was the white trout catcher until the tide stopped moving. Very fun and neat experience to be out on the water at night. Next time we'll try to time the tides a little better, but you have to go when you can go.

Let's see. Got the Yak out after a long break, took a newbe for his first, wen't out at night, caught fish, and got back safe to make a report. Sounds like it was a good time to me!

I got out there around 6 pm last night and fished until 10 without the first bite from a red so I would say you did a very good job of showing a first-timer a great time. The combination of the east wind and slack tide surely did us in. We did catch as many white trout as we wanted under the lights, but we couldn't keep them from eating our bait before something worth while would take a bite.
