Default 3 mb report for evening of the 5th of August .

Me and a buddy launched at graffiti bridge around 8pm. The bite started off SLOWWW. I was trolling at a slow speed with a dead Menhaden while casting into each light with both a top water spook (white in color) and a popping cork with a DOA shrimp with a leader approximately 28 inches long. About 9:30pm with only one small bite on my DOA I decided to change my attack and approach. With my DOA on the popping cork I made a leader approximately 6ft long and and ride the outside lights and cast under the bridge with a slow/medium retrieve. I'm not sure if the tide changed or what the heck happened around 9:45pm, the fish started EXPLODING! From 9:45 PM till 0100 we could not do any wrong! Bull red after bull red. Everything we were throwing in the water was being destroyed. I have never seen so many schools of Redfish in one night. At one point I re-baited my hook and my bait was sitting in the water next to the kayak and i was setting up my other pole with a topwaters when all of the sudden a monster bull red slapped the side of the yak and took the frozen Menhaden and the fight was on! I finished the night with 11 bull reds 1 slot red and one small shark. My buddy caught roughly the same amount of fish with one slot red as well.

The water was like glass all the whole time we were there with a light wind. Most of the reds were sight casted.

We seen hundreds of Eels and crabs in the lights, even seen a Flounder camping a the surface. All in all amazing night of fishing.

Nice report. If you check yesterday's tides, you'll see that the tide started moving about the time the bite turned on.

Kanaka,

What source are you using for tides? I'll be honest, I can't read that image you have. Granted, I'm a big, dumb idiot, so that isn't saying much.

Matcham 19,

Nice work!
