Default 3/22/2015

Launched at Grassy Point just after first light. The water was flat and bait was plentiful right by the launch. I missed one very nice looking Trout on a Fluke. Then decided I would head North to do some exploring.

I peddled until I came around a corner and saw a gentlemen on a boat. I didn't want to invade his area so I fished the opposite shoreline for a while before heading elsewhere in a down pour.

I eventually landed two 15" Trout. I missed a few fish throughout the morning that just were not willing to commit.

I then decided it was getting a little to nasty and I would head for the ramp. The wind had shifted and was blowing from the NW which made the area pretty sporty. I decided to take a video.

Shortly after the videos the waves were actually coming over the front of the kayak from time to time. I decided videoing was no longer a good idea.

Once I made it around the point, the shore protected me, and the winds died down. I casted into the bayou a few times and pulled out this little bass.

I got wet but enjoyed my morning! It was a much needed stress reliever! Hope you enjoyed.

Great report! That was me on the boat. I had a couple big blow up but didn't land any fish. I got soaked on the way back to the launch also. I wish I could of stayed longer and braved the weather.

Chaps - I didn't mean to invade your space. I came over there because I saw Flipper chasing something. I enjoy watching them push water every where.

You were fishing that shoreline pretty hard. I assumed you were loading the boat with fish. I had a few short strikes on the opposite shoreline. That's why I made one last drift down it. I landed both Trout in the heaviest rain of the day and they were very aggressive.

I went through a lot of different choices before getting lucky.

I'm glad just to see people getting out kayak fishing now that the weather is starting to warm up along with the water temperatures.

Thanks for sharing.
