Default 28 Dec 2011 3MB

Went out for about 3 hours with the calm conditions we were having. I have to admit cleaning sheepheads are not my favorite . I was really glad I didn't get my limit after number 7. Looking forward to eating these guys. One measured 18". Hitting the gulf tomorrow, hope the weather holds up.

PITA to clean, but they're tasty.

Man you got that right. Fun to catch just not much fun to clean. Good job finding them though.

They were all on fiddlers. I had one dozen live and 1 dozen dead, from a couple of weeks ago. They bit on both.

Get yourself a good electric filet knife and cleaning sheepies beclmes as easy as pie. Take the meat off the backbone, cut out the rib bones and use a regular filet knife to skin it.
