Thumbs up 27 Feb Mid-Bay Bridge

Launched with H-MANEOD around 0745 from White Point and headed south along the bridge. Hit a couple pilings halfway out and pulled up some sheepshead then pushed to the channel. At the channel I had the first hook up with a black drum on live shrimp. As I landed it my second rod with a live pinfish on the bottom got smashed and as I started cranking that bad boy in H-MANEOD hooked up at the same time for a triple hook-up with a nice black drum.

We landed a few more black drum and reds for a great day of February fishing inshore!

Total: 6 black drum from 24"-27", 33" red, 29.5" red, 3 sheeps between 16-20", and a few grey snapper that all looked too small and we didn't bother measuring.

Took the GoPro out since it had been a while, so there's video (unless YouTube acts up.)

I need to get out there with you guys one day. I was the guy with the blue and yellow hobies that showed up as you guys were leaving... Yall weren't kidding about the winds we stayed out about a hour before we just forget it. I am heading to rocky bayou bridge tomorrow to try it out.

I'll probably be out there a few more weekends before the water warms up and I transition to the flats, dock lights and trolling offshore. I'll shoot you a PM next time we figure out plans.

I live just a few miles south of the I-10 bay bridge and I've seen people fish there before. I'm going to buy a couple of kayaks this weekend and try my luck fishing under the I-10 bay bridge soon. Never kayak fished before so it will be a new experience for me. How deep is the water there?

I'm a bit closer to the Garcon Point bridge so I might end up over there more frequently.
