Default 26 May Navarre...King, Mahi, Spanish

Good day of fishing.....was going to launch near the pier but wasn't in the mood for the long haul bacl from the beach on the way back in.....We decided to put in at 12 and paddle east.....Good day for myself and a buddy.....trolled frozen cigs on dusters. Seen another small group

3 kings, 2 spanish and 1 Mahi......

Lot of fish lost as well.

Took the go pro withe so I'll have to see how the footage and pics came out.

Did you guys use wire leaders/king rigs the whole time or switch once you got the mahi?

One was rigged with a duster for kings. The one with mahi was just a rig I use from the pier and trolled it....I was surprised it hit on wire leader to be honest. Damn near lost it too, it wrapped around the buoy where the barge was. Had to gaff it and cut my line since it was tangled up.

I only used 2 poles the whole day and both wire leaders.

Awwwww now everyone is going to have Mahi fever (I still have a lingering case of it from last fall). Great to see one was caught from a yak so early in the year. About how far out were you?

50 ft Water and 3/4 mile out give or take. I was going to leave it on the line for a bit but it got tangled up ony duster rig when it busted out of the water so had no choice but to get it in fast as I could. That was a fiasco in its own lol.
