Default 2 Limits of Sheepshead 3MB Thursday 12-15-2011

My buddy Ollie and I launched on the Gulf Breeze side of 3mb with glassy conditions which made for a nice paddle and peddle out. On the way out we passed a free diver in a orange tandem pelican kayak and judging by the full stringer he slung on board he got his limit of sheepshead and headed in.

The bite started off slow and we had to move around a bit to find the fish but once we found them it was on! Every drop you got a bite and more often than not lost your crab . The tide was dead but the wind soon picked up and got pretty choppy out there and most of the boats headed in. We got our limits in no time well kinda, it seems that number 15 always takes the longest to catch. Ollie lucked out and got a nice pompano on a fiddler crab by the pilings
All fish caught on live fiddlers, 15 lb braid with 15 lb floro leader, on #5 and #6 hooks with 1/2-3/4 oz weights.
30 sheapshead
1 pompano

I just got done cleaning my fish and can't wait to try them in crab boil. I gave some fish to my mom and she gave me some fresh shrimp she just bought so I'll throw some of those in there too

Thanks for reading my post and i will be going again soon!
