Default 11/28/14

After two mornings that were pretty much a bust,I decided to give this evening a try. Launched at 2:30 wind was blowing pretty hard but I figured it would lay down just before dark. Caught 8 or so short specks and a couple around 16 inches or so while waiting on the sun to go down. As soon as it stated getting dark it was on missed more than I care to admit and caught some nice upper slot specks. My new kayak must have a bite detector wired into every passing boat. At one time I had 2 boats within 20 feet of me and even had a few cast thrown in my direction that I could have reached out and caught with my hand. I just kept my mouth shut and kept fishing knowing that they would not stay long. Ended up keeping a 19 and a 21 inch speck. Good afternoon on the water.

I have never fished black water. I usually just fish the sound or east river. We should get together sometime.
