Default 11/26/15 - I love side-scan

I went out to the bay around 1300 today, looking for a few Bull Reds.

When I first found them it looked like this:

Which quickly turned into this:

The fish eventually surfaced and in came the boats. Cobia tower and wide open throttle, well of course the fish disappeared.

I didn't want anything to do with the dangerous situation so I pedaled off and found them on side scan once again!

I found them once more before the cord on my seat broke. Time for some paracord!

Nice work, I've had my seat do that twice already.

What FF do you have I'm looking to upgrade. I might hit you up later this weekend to fish.

Johnathan - I have a Garmin 74SV. I believe basspro has a deal on a 73SV tomorrow. Im not sure what the difference between the two are.

Josh - Thanks and I hope you enjoy your turkey day as well.

Those are some nice colored reds. Nice photos too. My favorite photo is the one with the artificial bait in the red's mouth.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice work! I have an Outback with DI and GPS, but on my old boat I loved the side scan (Humminbird 598). The douche nuggets running all over the place have kept me in the vicinity of about a 1 mile distance of 3MB, and I've caught some bulls on the troll to and from my planned spots. Any chance you want to buddy boat in the near future? The white trout have been a blast on light tackle, but I'd like to get a few more bulls this winter.

73SV has Down Scan only. No Side Scan or Side Vu.

What kind of transducer do you have on your 74SV? Even though those screen shots are in pretty shallow water, they are still impressive.

Just wish that the power boat crowd knew how much more effort it takes to find those fish with pedals than with an outboard. Then again, some people, even IF they knew, wouldn't give a damn.

That's no good. I thought the SV stood for side view.

Thanks for the update. I had no idea.
