Default 10/15 - Snapper 4 Grouper 0

Got some numbers for a spot my buddies grandpa gave me for some grouper. Only took out some frozen bait, cigs and cut spanish and tried my luck. Once i was over the spot i dropped a cig on my bottom rig and then i dropped some cut spanish on my small rod. Within 20 minutes i pulled up 4 snappers, 2 right at 16" one 15" and one 18". After that i moved a few yards away looking for the groupers, found some catfish, one of which stuck me in the hand... ive been in some pain before and that stick was up there in the pain scale. Wind picked up, waves picked up and the pain was pretty bad so i paddled in. Might go back out tomorrow morning if the weather report looks good.

the currents were rippin it today too so i couldnt get close to my spot. i had a few HUGE slams on some squid ended up spitting one hook and tearing through the line on the other. Im guessing shark since it was swimming around me in circles. Lots of big catfish tho...
