Default single shot re-assembly

Well, I have an OOOLLLDDD Diamond Arms 12 Ga single shot that I know ain't worth much money wise, but it was the first gun I ever shot and I'm 63. I decided to take it apart and clean it and maybe shoot it again for old times sake. Well, I got it apart but when I removed one of the Pin/screws I heard a loud release sound inside. I got it all apart but need someone to re-assemble it for me. I know...... I'm a dumbass................. Any ideas??? Thanks.................... Bob

Did you remove the stock to access the hammer spring?
