Default Shotgun ammo questions?

Can you get 16 gua. Shells and where? And where can you dispose of old ammo, 20+ year old?

I see 16 guage from time to time, but not in any large quantities.
I've picked some up at Academy and Mikes in recent years.
Also saw some at BassPro in Spanish Fort a few weeks ago.
Cheaperthandirt.com has some also.

just because ammo might have a few years on it doesn't make it bad .

I'll gladly take it off your hands .

as for new stuff check out Ammo to go, Sportsman Guide , Abel's , Cheaper than Dirt , Natchez .

The only way the shotgun shells could be damaged are if they were not properly stored. An old lady once gave me 8 boxes of paper shells mfg by Federal. I kept 2 boxes and shot the rest of them at doves.

I have a customer who asked me these to questions today. He saw me move my glock to lock it in the console and gun talk started. Having never had a 16 gua. I was uncertain if it was available. As for storage, neighbor told him they go bad, I have no idea where he stores it, but he doesn't want it anymore he wants fresh ammo, lol. Home robbery down the road from him this past weekend. 60+ year old with loaded shotguns under the bed, watch out would be theives!

Us 60+year olds don't have much to lose. Better watch out for us.
If stored properly, 20 yr old ammo should be ok. If they got wet, there might be a problem
