Default Hunters safety vest

So I'm trying to get ready to take my 6yr old out hunting for the first time and realize I need to buy him a vest replace my old ratty one and possibly get a couple to go on the outside of my ground blind (since I am hunting in Blackwater) I've stopped by accademy, walmart on 29 and on creighton, as well as the walmart in gulf breeze. How in the world are the ALL sold out of vests? I tried bass pro in destin on the phone, they have them but they are starting at $14.99. What the hell!!?? Suggestions?

Safety T-shirts!!! Get a size or two two big. I am not 100% sure they are "hunter orange" but if they pass osha, I would think they are sufficient? Just a suggestion? But that is a parrnts decision. As for the vests? I havrnt been able to find one since season started. More than likely the BPS ones are more like you woild wear bird or squirl hunting? With a pocket in the back, not an el chepo! Good luck

It's pretty late in the season. Most stores have pulled a lot of hunting stuff.
Good luck.
