Default Henry .22 lever action

Christmas gift to me, found a deal on Henry lever action .22s at Academy for Black Friday.

Have always wanted one.

Got to shoot it for the first time this weekend.
Fun stuff.
Holds 21 .22 shorts.

Reasonably accurate with the iron sites. Considering mounting a scope but I hate to ruin the feel.

Price is at 289 now, great gift for a kid or spouse!

Well the manager gave me a package deal on a few items, so I'd say about 15% off retail.

I got one brand new still in the box for $5 at an estate type sale a few months ago. It is crazy accurate with open sights no prob head shooting squirrels out to 60 yards. If it has the ring on the front sight take that off. I couldn't hit crap with it on there took it off and can hollow a dime

Thanks for the advice, I find that hood thing distracting for sure.

It should just slide right off easily. No tools or anything needed
