Default any S&W revolver enthusiast on here?

I recently picked up a SW 44spl from a friend of mine that was in need of some cash. I can't figure out what model it is. I've done a lot of looking around online and the best i can describe it is a model 29 but in 44spl instead of mag and with a 4" barrel. I'll try to get pictures up in the next few days but any help between now and then would be great

It is probably a model 24,or 624 if it is stainless. Or if its older it could be a 1924 hand ejector.

If it has fixed sights -- it could be a Model 21. Any of the S&Ws mentioned in 44 Special are great revolvers.

S&W Mod 29 chambered in 44Special ONLY ???? Maybe you have the only one in existance. Better hang on to it.

It's not a Charter Arms is it ?? --- SAWMAN

Snap a pic and post it for us to have a look. If there is no model number on the frame under the crane when you open the cylinder -- it is most likely a Hand Ejector...unless of course, it is a break top revolver.
