Default 7.62x39 Mag issues

Got a couple mags for a 7.62x39 Ar. One is an ASC 10 round and the other is a Promag 5 round. I haven't shot either yet, but the promag doesn't feel like it's going to feed good. The tip of the bullet is below the rim of the magazine and they are darn near impossible to manually push out. The ASC are tight, but the point is well below the edge of the mag and the slide with a little effort. Also the promag is dang near twice as long as the ASC and is only a 5 round mag. I got it thinking it would be better to hunt with, but it's not. Is there any way to modify it to hold more since it's so big?

Anyone use these?

Opinions?

CPD, CP Defense has a proper AR x39 mag that works, Talk to Chad there to get the proper generation.

I fixed my plastic SKS mags by sanding the lips.

Didn't take long.

How-to videos are on the net.

Stop sanding when the bullets point toward the breech.

Everyone I have talked to with an AR in that caliber recommends the C Products Defense mags. As far as gens go I think I heard some of the older ones had some problems but now they have it figured out. If promag is the company I am thinking of then most every mag they make is borderline but they are about the cheapest so people buy them.

Think I'd rather spend $3 more and have one that works.
