Default .40 muzzleloader ...?

I have friend in tennessee that has an extra Rock Creek .40 barrel for sale.
I already have way to many .458's, but with the new Pittman .40 all copper Hammers available, I think I am going to take the plunge and buy it and
installed either on my Savage ML-1 action or on a SA rem700....
Anyone have a .40 already...?

It sure can...you are going to need a boltnose kit, barrel, breechplug to start with.
Luke at Arrowhead sporting goods supplies all of these...He can build it for you to.
Since it is a ml action you don't need a ffl to ship it either....

Well the ml-1 action is on its way to tenn. I am going to go with Lukes ignition system on this one since the .40 develops high pressure and has a longer dwell time than with the
powders used in a .458....Jerry my machinist ,is going to cut a 50gn powder chamber so I won't have such a long powder column with the slower powders that I'll be shooting....
She'll be ready before early muzzleloader, but Jerry and Tom won't be coming back down here before feb. . It ought to be a heck of a gun when its all said and done....
