Default Rules for selling

Maybe our rules forposting for sale should updated......

I'm just going to share an opinion here, if you don't feel the same,I'm OK with that, I'm not mad at anyone, and I hold nothing against anyone for civillydisagreeing.
 1.
why post anything for sale for someone else if you're going to get mad if they respond thru the PM system, that is just the way it isoften times....if it bothers someone, they should tell their friends to join, follow the rules and post their own stuff!

value of a gun or any other product, IS....What a willing seller is willing tosell for, and What a willing buyer is willing to pay, NO more, NO less!

I'm not sure what aLow ball is, especially when a Seller posts a price "OBO" (or best offer).....What amI missing here? If you don't like the offer, civilly decline, or make a counter offer, its done everyday in real estate???? HOWEVER, I believe the offers should be made in person, over the phone, OR, via the PM system to keep them private. OTHERWISE what we have is an auction, and Chris doesn't like auctions on the forum as I understand it!

I find it funny when people add the fees, taxes etc to the value ofa gunwhen trying to sell. I wonder if anyone else thinks of that when they try to buy and sell cars? Oh, and there is no background check for a number of qualifiying reasons, check the law.

The next statement is just a statement of fact, not an opinion or an offer to buy or statement of value; that would be up to the reader!

Rememberinga particularthread while I was at Academy Sports this afternoon, I noticed a Brand New In the Box, Glock 27 was priced at $529.00!
[/list]
Have a great day and hope we get a weather change!

Default RE: Rules for selling

Don't know what bay pirate is referring to , but....Selling firearms, there are some fees involved..... Selling face to face is fine as long as you don't know that the purchaser is a felon or non citizen or is from the same state(or ajoining state).....

Selling out of state...Long gunsmust be shipped to an ffl(dealer). Said ffl usually charges a fee.....Sometimes that ffl will only receive a gun from another ffl...Now 2 fees involved......Some gun buyers wanttheir purchase shipped with insurance...another fee.....

Hand guns are a different story...They must be shipped from ffl to questions asked...Federal law....And I think it must go next day delivery....Someone correct me if I'm wrong....2 fee......

Many guns are bought and sold via forums or gunsites etc....People sell shipped plus fees....some sell shipped...some sell plus shipping....In most cases, the first "I'll take it!" is the buyer....When seller puts up trades or OBO he/she leaves themselves wide open for lots problems, lowballs, stupid trades....If there is a lowball or stupid trade, it's up to the seller on how to handle it....He can do it nicely or ......

To me...this should be made a sticky for lots to see....If not feel free to delete.....Also feel free to add to it!!!!
