Default Saturday May 21st - LFR

Would anyone be willing to take 3 GA boys out on the water on Saturday the 21st? We'll gladly help with gas, ice, buying/catching bait, cleaning the boat and the fish, and bringing drinks and snacks. 2/3 of us will be bringing some of our own gear as well for bottom bumping, light jigging, and some light trolling depending on the game plan.

Just because I have to get it off my chest, there's a long story that goes with the request, but I'll try to make it short and bittersweet....

My dad, uncle, best friend, and myself all went fishing last fall together when ARS opened for the weekends, but the weather turned rough and we didn't end up getting on good fish. That said, we planned on going on another fishing trip as soon as ARS opened up again - my mom and dad's favorite fish.

Fast forward a bit - some of you may or may not have seen my thread in the end of March and I haven't said anything since then; but I lost my dad just over a month ago to an unexpected heart failure and the brain damage it caused.

The rest of us still want to go fishing and bring some fish back even though we'll be a man down, and it'll probably be a bit tough emotionally. (You may have to be ok seeing a few men cry a little...)

Anyway, my uncle will be down in the Perdido Key area camping already, and my friend and I have a place to stay in Pensacola for that weekend; but our normal captain will be out of town until that Saturday evening. We'd really rather not miss a day's fishing if the weather's kind, so........ there it is............

Jack2 says we should take you out, and who am I to argue with Jack! So give me a call and we will set up a meeting time and place. My boat is a 2540 Pursuit with twin 200 hp , I have all the safety gear needed and have extra fishing gear, just let me know what extra I need to bring. ed 850 857 1039

just looked at the forecast. Saturday is showing 3-4 . choices are either pick another day, stay in the bay or watch TV

Still looking for anyone willing to try on Saturday. Forecast could be better, but we're just looking for the chance to wet a line from somewhere other than the shore (or pier).... No need to make a firm commitment since I know the weather can change at a moment's notice - just a bit of optimism since it can sometimes swing in the direction of good.

Offshore would be nice, but unlikely. The bay's got plenty to throw at though if it smooths out....

Anyone? Bueller?... Bueller?....
