I'm not sure where "home" is for you but I moved down here from the Midwest and I grew up in PA and have caught sunfish or bream everywhere I have lived on just about the exact same bait and using the exact same equipment. I guess I have caught bream on everything but a long stick and a piece of string!! They are one of the easiest fish to catch and I started both my grown sons out on them when they were little kids.

Now, what was your question again?? I don't know of anything that I could add that you don't already know about fishing for sunfish or bream! Unless you are just starting out fishing for them, I would say that crickets, meal worms, pieces of earthworms, or anything that worked "back home" will work here and most anywhere you find those feisty little morsels of great fish eating!! They like brushy cover and can be found in most any fresh water pond, stream, or river down here.

Good luck with your fishing!

I see smaller ones everywhere i go. But no big ones.. Even so even the little ones dont bite. Its like there spooked and know there is a hook there. Hell one place i threw a piece of bread in and they tore it up. All small ones though. Nothing worth catching.

I know all about fishing near grass/brush piles. I use a small hook with a real small cork and 1 small weight.. I found some unnamed ponds on eglin property close so i am gonna get some meal worms and try thouse. They wouldnt even touch night crawlers. They would look and run.. They would nibble lil bits of shrimp and liver though:banghead...

Basically i am just looking for a fishing partner.
