Home run chili! I grew up eating venison roasts at least twice a month on Sunday's after church! The other Sunday was at the local catfish house for all you u can eat fried whole catfish! Last Sunday of the month was at grandmas for chicken and and dumplings ! No one today makes chicken and dumplings like our grandmas! Thanks for a trip back in time chili! Though I gotta ask what did you use to sop that gravy up? It screams biscuits or cornbread! Least case say U tipped it back and slurped it up! Hahaha. Now when we ran out of vension roasts it was turkey sammich with 1 sliver of thin deli sliced meat. I don't miss that haha

You're welcome and thank you.
Earlier, on the first round, I sopped it up with some of my favorite bread.
Just now on round two, I definitely slurped it down straight outta'da bowl.
Yummy!
