Default Smoked Turkeys

I got nominated to cook some turkeys for my daughters school dinner. Rubbed them down with my Rebel Rub mixed with peanut oil, then smoked for 9 hrs at about 225 with apple wood. They crept up to 250 the last 2 hrs and it seemed to help crisp the skin. Meat was falling off the bones!!

My favorite way to do a turkey. I'm not going to get a chance at Thanksgiving, but I'm picking up an extra bird to do one in early December.

Spatchcock (butterfly) it and you can smoke a 15# turkey in about 2 hours. Do everything you normally do seasoning and such the same as you like it.
