We did a 6 hour yesterday and the captains son cooked some B-Liner fillets on the glass tray in the microwave, turned out pretty dang good IMO

Anyone else done this?

i have friend that puts a filet on saran wrap, covers it with mayonaise and any spice he deems good. then wraps it up and freezes it. when he wants fish, he gets one or two out of the freezer and pops them in the MW for 12 min(i think). he swears by it. i haven't tried it yet, but another buddy did and gave it a thumbs up.

Wirelessly posted

The OLE Mikey will eat it!

That's for us old timers. You remember, the Life cereal commercial.

I have cooked fish in the microwave myself. It is good. The trick is to spread mayonnaise on the fillet before cooking. I hate mayonnaise. The fish did not have a mayonnaise taste at all. We used to cook fish in the micrwave while I was a deckhand on charter trips. The first batch cooked the guys were kinda hesitate to try it. The second batch, the guys would damn near be throwing punches getting to the microwave. Most people really like it. Another favorite was raw scamp.

When I was in the army and young and broke. I would microwave ketchup and pasta and thought it was great! Nowadays, I think if I did it it wouldn't be quite as good! Haha I'm gonna side with the not gonna microwave my fish faction unless I have no other cooking options! Lol
