Default Fine Slaw

Family went through 2 big bowls of it with the smoked butts and ribs. It is really good.

1 head green cabbage finely shredded

2 large carrots, finely shredded

3/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons sour cream

2 tablespoons grated sweet onion

1/4 cup sweet relish

2 tablespoons white vinegar

1 tablespoon dry mustard

2 teaspoons celery seeds

1 tablespoon garlic salt
Salt and freshly ground pepper

I cheat and get the pre-shredded slaw bags.

Mix above and fold in your cabbage. Add a bit of cayenne if you want some heat.

Didn't bother with food pictures this time, but I did have a tortoise in the yard this morning.

Slaw sounds good.

I discovered there is a good sized soft shell living across the street from me. I'm trying to decide whether to fry him up or not. Bet the slaw would go good with him.

Sounds good, we'll give it a shot soon.

Share and share alike, here's one of mine for y'all.

Family Sized Bowl, Double Down for a Party

1 Medium head of cabbage, cored, quartered and sliced thin
1/2 medium onion, sliced thin
2C Mayo
1/2T fresh cracked Black Pepper
1/2t Cayenne pepper
1t prepared horseradish
1T Apple Cider vinegar
1T Lemon juice

Mix Mayo, horseradish and spices
Add in vinegar & lemon very slowly while whisking to avoid separation.
Combine with cabbage/onion and mix well.
Refrigerate for several hours or better overnight.
