Easy Venison crockpot roast
Found this online and had to try it.
Easiest and tastiest recipe I've had to date.
I used a 3 lb shoulder roast.
Even the shank meat was tender.
The carrots, potatoes, and celery were added at 7 hours.
Total cook time 9 hours.
I think this would work with any tough game meat.
3 Packets Venison Roast
1 packet dry Ranch Dressing
1 packet dry Italian Dressing
1 packet dry Brown Gravy
2 cups Beef Broth
1 large (3-4#) venison roast (any type of roast will work)
Place roast in crock pot and sprinkle dry packets over roast. Add 2 cups of beef broth. Cover and cook on low for 7 or more hours.
Last 2 hours you can add potatoes, carrots, celery or any other goodies.
Liquid can be thickened and made into gravy. Serve with warm, crusty bread and a side salad.
