Default What do you guys think about kokatat semi dry suits?

Hey y'all,
I've stumbled across a pretty good deal on a kokatat semi drysuit. I was thinking about hitting the water a little harder this year when it starts cooling down and thought this might be a good way to do it without freezing my legs off. Any thoughts on dry suits in general? Go ,no-go, or are there better options for much cheaper?

Never considered a drysuit till now. Looks like it might be a pretty cool option want to see if anybody had any experience with them around our area.

Stick with a wetsuit for florida or alabama. 7 mm farmer john and hooded vest. Dry suits are expensive more weight needad. Choke the hell out of me anyway. More maintance, not convinced yet. Have at it.

I have had to wear dry suits because of work and you can have a serous over heating issue. water below 50, drysuit, water 50 or above wetsuit seems to work for me. However if the deal is unreal get it and just dont zip if it is a shoulder entry. Just my 2 cents worth

Hello everybody,

thank you so much for your responses. The Deal itself wasn't a screaming deal so I decide to go away from it cuz it seems like it may be at least slightly overkill for our area.

I'll start looking at some wetsuits. My main concern was getting in and out of them because I am not a small guy. Any recommendations for a particular brand Style, provider?

Anything I should be aware of about buying my first ever wetsuit that you wish you had known when you bought yours?

Thanks again!
