Im really thinking about tagging along just got a new yak and it needs some blood on the deck lol, though ive never gone out at night anything different that i should bring than i would during the day? Just want to be safe out there

Definitely bring a headlamp so you can tie knots and see what you're doing. The brighter, the better. Also, by law, you need a 360 degree white light. Good luck out there, the night fishing at 3 mile can be a lot of fun if the bulls are there. I almost never fish during the day anymore.

Exactly what argobull said! Headlamp, light, PFD! If bulls are there, it’s great fishing! Not sure if your paddling/peddling, ive seen both be successful once you figure current out.

ill be paddling i got jsut picked up the jackson kraken 15.5 elite and i already got a white light on a pole, guess i need to look for a head lamp, hope fully ill be able to make it, if so TX where are you putting in at?

Is there consistent night time bull red action on the Choctawhatchee Bay? I only see posts about 3 mile bridge but thats a bit of a drive for me.
