Default Texan fishing in Florida Waters

Hey guys I've been lurking for a few weeks picking up ideas of how to fish the Fla coast when I come down for vaca in August. I live in Houston and fish here quite a bit and let me tell you....you guys have it made over here. Your fishing, the water quality, and clarity is amazing!

I will be staying in Navarre Beach August 10-17th and will have my jetski. I want to fish bridges, passes, some flats but mainly I want to head offshore but my problem lies in that I wont have a fish finder installed by that time. I was curious if some of you guys that have FF's might be able to help me locate some bottom fish- the g/f is expecting for me to provide dinner. I am not looking for secret spots (as I wont have any GPS capability) but want to have a good bend in my rod and some cool GoPro footage.

Anyone up to show a Texan how Floridians do it?

I can't give you any offshore advice, but inshore there are awesome grass flats that produce good fish here. (pm sent for spot). Use cork w/ live shrimp, weedless gulps/ zoom super flukes and z mans

Thanks Flats15! I plan on purchasing a sand flea rake (we dont have those here) and I have some bay gear (softies, spoons and topwaters).

No worries on the offshore tackle advice, my 2 offshore tackle boxes look like I robbed Academy. I've got knife jigs, Shimano butterfly jigs, bucktails jigs, cedar plugs, bubble heads, Snapper Slappers, and a few other lures.
