Tarpon 14 Kayak Question
I think I finally found a good kayak to buy. I found a Tarpon 14 listed for $495. I have not seen it in person, or even seen pictures, but judging on the Tarpon's reputation, I think this is a good buy.
The $495 gets you the kayak and the paddle. Would you say this is a good deal?
Also for those of you who have owned/tried out the Tarpon 14, what are your comments on them?

Sounds like a good deal. Make sure you know what year it is, they've been making them for a while...It could be in bad shape. Good fast kayak though. It is skinnier than most other brands so it sacrifices some stability for speed.

Before you buy it, I suggest you take a demo ride in it. The reason I say this, if it's an older Tarpon 14, some of the older models had standing water in the cockpit if a person was sitting in it and weighed 190 pounds or more while the yak was standing still and not moving.
