Default Pfd

I have just purchased a pelican catch 120 and am looking at getting a pfd that I can wear at all times. My only concern is the high back rest on the seat and it pushing the pfd up and just being uncomfortable. The seat on my kayak is very similar to the hobie pa and I was wondering what pfd have work well with you guys? thanks

Not going to lie, if I'm in the flats and there aren't a bunch of yahoos on boats and jet skis getting drunk and boating (Memorial Day/4th of July) I probably have mine within reach but not worn. In the Gulf or otherwise is a different story. I wish I had the $ to fork out on a Co2 inflated one because I'm sure they're the most comfortable.

I have the Astra V 8 life jacket. Its got a high back, very light, breathes very well, dries quickly, doesnt impede my movement all, very confortable. Its not cheap $120, but i went for supreme comfort because we all know if it isnt confortable it will not be worn. I wear it all the time. The two front pockets are convient. Making sure i get home to my family is very important.

I have the NRS Chinook PFD...I love it. The back portion of it is cut off and only on the high back so you don't have to worry about it riding up in you. It's has pockets as well where I can keep some things close to me. I got it for $82 at countryoutback and free 2 day shipping.

Just drop the money and go inflatable. By far the most comfortable and if it's not comfortable, you won't wear it.

thanks for the reply guys. I think I'm just going to go for the inflatable. I don't really want to drop that much money on one but I do want one I will wear. Again thanks for the input. very helpful

I bought 2 of the Astral Ronnie's, I believe from back country outfitters, they were 70 dollars cheaper than any other retail seller. Nice fit, not to big and have some nice pockets and zippers.
