Default Lost or Stolen Hobie Gear Drive

I ended up losing my gear drives for my limited edition outback on my 1st outing Saturday evening at the boat launch on Eglin AFB. I thought I left them in my kayak which was stored in my carport. But it's possible I could have left them at the launch. If anyone sees someone using the peddles or selling them please contact me. I sure would like them back. I'm active duty military and unfortunately, I can't afford to replace them.

Call or text 7016103366 with any info.

Are you talking about the mirage drive?

Thank you Steve! He was the Good Samaritan who found my mirage drives. There are still good people out in the world and he's one of them. Thank you PFF and Thank you again, Steve!

Yes I left them at the launch (I'm buying a leash now to add more steps so I won't forget them) and yes he texted me.

Yes I'm buying a lottery ticket tonight. It's my lucky day!

My wife and I are both extremely happy we were able to reunite the mirage drive with its' rightful owner. When I saw them, I knew they wouldn't last long sitting on the dock, so my wife and I actually put them on the back of her PA while we fished Sunday in case we ran into somebody looking for them. I fully expected that whoever left them would place a lost ad on either here or Facebook.

When I saw the post this morning I immediately went and texted the owner to put his mind at ease. He'll have them back in the morning. BTW...I rinsed them off for ya! Fish on. GT
