Default A little TLC for the yak

After sitting up for a few years it turns out the kayak could use a little love. Before I put it up I knew I had a small leak somewhere, I just couldn't find it. So I filled her with water until the other day until she sprung! The scupper hole under the seat was the culprit--it actually looks like a defect in the mold. Patched it up with some JB Weld Waterweld (I'll be keeping that in the yak from now on. It will supposedly set under water). Next, most of the shock cord was shot, so I ran to Halls and picked up 10ft of marine grade shock cord and got that replaced!

Good for you.

Pics of other yaks make me want to get mine out, fish, work on mods...

Thanks for posting

Thanks! I've been itching to get back at it for a while now. Been out a few times this past week with only a couple of bass to show for it--still looking for a nice slot red for dinner; having a hard time figuring those guys out.
