Safety for a beginner is a joke. No mention of at least a waterproof VHF radio. Also how about hypotherma? Yes even in the summer and in the winter minutes in this water in winter clouthes can kill you if you fall overboard and the kayak gets blown away from you.

SL - good points but delivered with a 2x4.

Comms always a Primary and Backup. Cell and Radio (Know how to use both for on water emergency) Very seldom are kayakers beyond cell range.

Stressless Why sugar coat it. Been involved in recovery 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 wa𝘆 to many 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀. Maybe it will get the point across quicker. I like your chart gonna save it.

You know I'm good with it Ron... Operational Risk Management.

Found a place in Navarre that'll load Nitrox so my yak diving just got into higher gear.
