Default Hobie livewell owners exp.?

Are they worth the $?
Are they reliable?
How heavy are they?
Easy to use?
Will it keep cigar minnows alive and livelier? How many?
what's the runtime on them?

Make a bait tube. You can keep plenty of cigs in one and if you do it right, the drag is minuscule. I got the livewell when I bought my PA, but I couldn't keep it primed and wanted more storage so traded it in on a yak attack black pack and a few other things. If you really just want to have a livewell, you can make one cheaper than you can buy it. Also, there's no check valve in the line. So if your pump stops running and you don't put the cap over the discharge, all your water will drain out through the pump. Just my .02

What diameter of PVC do you like for your bait tube?. I'm tired of my Flo-troll bait bucket pulling me off center.

Buy you a hobie livewell! They are bad ass. I have one and kept a dozen hardtails alive all day! Battery runs frever. If your pump or switch goes out just replace them. Just like anything else, take care of it and it will last! I have NO regrets in buying mine.

Hobie live well works great ONCE PRIMED. I have one but rarely use it because it takes up so much space and I like to have a big cooler. And that's in a PA14.
