florida's state park facilities are pretty good from what i've experienced, and many allow camping. i've camped at st joe penensula state park and it was a great time. didn't hurt that we were 100yds from the gulf and 250 from the bay:toast i'm not as familiar with the parks around pcola b/c i have people to stay with in that area, but i think you can camp at johnson beach state park on perdido key, but the road ends well before the campground, so you'll have to paddle your stuff down the island.

I've had the chance to camp at both locations once each. They're often crowded most of the year, but this time of year should be nice and quiet.
