Gulf Shores Launch?
Headed down to Gulf Shores with the yak this weekend, I normally fish from Navarre. What is the best Gulf launch sites between Orange Beach and Ft. Morgan. Anyone going out from this area this weekend?

I always just beach launched. I have a little hobie pro angler, so having the right wheels for sand is a must (I think). I think you can try the little lagoon pass but I never tried before. Every time I have been there it shallow/flat and not a pass I would take my powerboat through. I would not recommend Perdido pass and suggest you leave that to larger boats - you are much better off beach launching. Do you know how to beach launch, or just as important, coming back in? It's not hard but there are a few things to make it easier.

Big lagoon state park is always a good place to launch. They have a boat launch and kayak launch and fishing is unlimited fishing areas.
