Default Got one!

Well, unexpectantly for my birthday my wife got me a kayak. I have never even sat in one or looked at them. So she got me one from academy. A pescador sport. I took it to the pond yesterday and realized this is gonna be a learning curve for me. It's different yet I did catch three bass while trying it out. It looks like I gonna have to downsize tackle a little and start using artificial more in saltwater. I do like the idea of getting in skinny water with it for reds and what not. Anyone have any reviews or personal experience with this yak. Any sure enough things I need to know. Help!

Our yak forum here has taught me a lot since I got my yak. I have not really had to downsize my equipment, but I am not fishing from it with huge offshore reels anyways. I still carry 7ft rods and a tackle box. Look around on here and other sites, lots of info on how to make an aerated livewell for bait on the yak. Good luck, you will enjoy the kayak fishing experience.

Congrats on your yak and happy bday. I'm impressed on your wifes taste in man toys. 30 yrs and i've never got as much as a sling shot. I'm pretty new to yak fishing and have much to learn also. good luck
