Default Escambia Bay

If anybody else is headed out, I'm going to head down into the bay from the Simpson river launch. I should be out there around 10:30-11 in an orange Native Propel. Hope to see some other yakkers out there

Would love to learn some new spots in Escambia Bay. Have a few to show of my own. Send me a PM. Love the bay fishing in this area.

BVAN I was looking at launching there soon but then I saw LIM IT OUT say the river may be too rough. How was it? I don't wanna drive up there and waste my time if it's too rough for a yak.

Hanshotfirst (nice name haha) you could answer too if you ended up going the other day. Thanks

He nailed it. I drove by without the yak to check it out and it wasn't really choppy, just a swift current and very muddy water.

I ended up launching at a new spot east of Mulatto bayou to check out some docks for future trips. Lots of potential around there on the western edge of the bayou before the bay.

I went out into Escambia bay and back in down by archie glover and didn't see anything feeding or moving. As Josh suggested (again) i still wasn't far enough south.

I ended up launching east of yellow river in northern escambia bay and paddled around and there with no signs of fish/life. I guess I was too close to the river still. The water seemed to have zero salt in it. Foggy day without a bite. Saw a couple other yaks out there and would be interested to hear how you did. I was in a yellow prowler 13
