Default Destin Flats Paddleboard report

We went out 2 weeks ago to try our new Bote paddleboards for some flats fishing and ended up with a nice bag. Everybody caught fish including 26-27 inch reds, spanish and trout. The paddleboards with backrests allow you to carry your gear and support you while your standing up and fishing. I would definitely recommend trying one out if you get the chance.

Check out the pics and video from the day.

That's pretty cool - not sure I'd have the balance for it but I bet it's a blast.

Fantastic! Cool vids.

Will, you could probably figure out some way to strap one of there down to it: http://www.google.com/products?q=yak...N&hl=en&tab=wf

you could probably fit a yak cooler into the bungee cord system on the front of the paddleboard. We usually attach a backpack or tacklebox to the backrest too.

That's my feelings also, my sense of balance went south a few years ago so I stick to sitting down in anything that you can't walk around on!

But that looks like a real neat way to sight fish for reds. The downside, as was already mentioned, would be tackle storage but a good 'yaker can find a way to rig up something for tackle and maybe a cooler of ice for the fish. I still do not like to hang fish over the side of anything down here, too easy for a small shark to grab your dinner from you!

Good videos and a neat idea for fishing quiet waters!
