Yaksquatch and I decided earlier in the week to once again make the trip over to the promised land in search of some of those "red gold" kayak wars points.
It was a trip well planned as you could not have asked for better conditions. A slight north breeze pushed us out to our numbers. Once we were fishing the breeze died off and we just sat right over each spot. On the way in the sea breeze picked up and pushed us back in.
The bottom bite was consistent with a few fish at each spot, all red snapper. I did see two kings bust bait on the surface and a little spanish mack action. Bait was around, with lots of baby bobos.
Apparently, I broke the KW's snapper record with this guy. He taped out at 28 inches and a quick boga measure put him at just over 13lbs.

I was trolling and caught this guy. 40 inches to fork. Tuesday I was out there and caught nothing but snapper also.
