Default Deep Water Re-Entry

Figured this was a good reminder to those gearing up for the warmer weather offshore. Be prepared for the worst. Please like and subscribe!

Also a reminder that so long as you keep your head above the boat, you'll generally stay upright.

I'm old and kinda "husky;" and I have a PA 14 and re-entry was just about impossible for me.

But, I made one of these:

Regardless of your physical condition, you might be injured or have something else going on. So: MAKE A RE-ENTRY STIRRUP for your kayak!

Also consider climbing on from the back of the kayak - reduces that roll that makes it hard for some folks climbing in from the side. There are videos out there for that as well if you want to watch it done.

This approach works particularly well on the PAs.

I tried to climb on my PA from the back once. Iím sure the people on the shore got a good laugh.

This was why i researched re-entry and found out about the stirrup/ladder device.
