Default Bottom fishing 10/10 & 10/11 PCB

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get out this weekend but Sat morning I was able to get a quick trip in before heading out of town. The snapper fishing wasn't on fire like it had been earlier in the season, I think due to the hotter water temps and pressure on those spots. Everyone still managed to catch fish though and the sunrise was awesome! As of late, I have been depending on others that have electronics on their kayaks but I am going to be getting my own (finally) this week. The humminbird 385ci kayak model. So those of you that have mentioned wanting to get offshore and do some bottom fishing it will be easier to plan trips. While out there fishing we met Kris, who brings his Hobie Pro Angler all the way from Illinois to fish for kings ect. he has been wanting to catch a big shark from his yak and managed to do just that while we were out there. He caught a big nurse shark and we got some good pics for him.
There are also a few pics from Sunday. I didn't go but Hannas emailed them to me.

Ya'll are lucky to not have to paddle so far to get to good bottom fishing. Nice fish!

How far out/Where do you bottom fish from your yak?

I have launched from PBeach and Perdido Key in years past, but never went out further than a couple of hundred yards.

Thanks

So those of you who have gone out in the gulf, how far is the farthest you have gone? I would be worried I would wear my self out going out and then be too tired to get back! That Shark isn't a little one! Looks like the water was nice and flat! I have been looking at the Hobie PA but I heard they are heavy.... Nice pics, good job.
