Default Beach cart wheels?

So I have messed around trying to find a cheap way to drag the yak to the water. I made a PVC cradle and put some tall/wide powerwheels wheels on it and it worked great until I hit the soft powder sand then it just sucked so I need some ideas. Just hate to spend $200+ on the wheeleez tires.

Spend the $200 on the wheelz or spend it at the chiropractor.

Once I get to the sand I have a long rope that I attach to the front of the yak and it has two handles on the end. It helps the yak glide across the sand. Well it works pretty good for my cuda. Its really cheap. Might be worth a shot.

Replace your current wheels with some slippery plastic "snowmobile ski skins".

I'M IN THE PROCESS OF TINKERING TOO!!! I thought bout 8-10 inch pvc about as long as the width of your yak. finds some type of lawnmower tire to fit tight into each end, then run your shaft through it and build your upper brackets! In theory sounds like it would work!!! To help w/ noise on rough surface, cur some bike tread and industrial glue around the ends of the pipe!
