Default Advice on what kayak to buy

What do ya'll recommend for the following...

Ive never owned a kayak but have paddled all over in a canoe lol
Gonna use it for primarily fishing in bay, lakes, rivers
I like a lot of storage, and have seen some with the "indention" in the back where you can put a small cooler, tackle box, etc.
Ease of transportation is not an issue for me.
Not looking to spend more than a grand
Have been looking at a Ocean Trident 13

Thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance

I have owned quite a few paddle kayaks and currently own an Ocean Kayak Trident 13 and a Prowler Big Game. The Trident 13 has been my favorite so far. Plenty stable, fast and at a good price

Look at Academy. I bought a Perception Pescador for I think $499 and was the best money I ever spent. Only thing is it's only 28" wide instead of 32" like most 12' yaks. But storage is great and price cant be beat.

Check out Malibu Stealth 14. Lots of storage. Stable:I'm 6'[email protected] 220 and throw a seven foot cast net for bait while standing up, in calmer water. It has a live well, plenty of room for a cooler or crate. Hatches will leak if you leave it out in the rain uncovered. They will take on some water if waves are crashing over the sides or the bow, but it has never been a problem for me. If your not going off shore, check it out on line. I love mine.
